UK police arrested 25 supporters of Palestine Action outside the Supreme Court on suspicion of supporting a proscribed organisation under the Terrorism Act, according to Africanews on November 4, 2026.

The arrests occurred during a demonstration where activists lay on the pavement and held placards. Police officers lifted and carried detainees to waiting vans.

Palestine Action co-founder Huda Ammori is legally challenging the group’s designation as a terrorist organisation. The court heard this is the first of 98 proscribed groups banned solely for causing serious property damage rather than advocating violence against people.

More than 4,000 arrests have been made under this ban, including 325 outside the US embassy on October 31. The outcome of this appeal could affect charges linked to the prohibition.
